FAQ’s: Presidential General Election
Election Day is Tuesday, November 3, 2020 from 7 am to 8 pm
Apply for a ballot today!
Once you have applied, we will review your application and get a ballot to you when they are available.
Early Voting runs from Monday, October 26, 2020 through Monday, November 2, 2020 (including weekends) from 7 am to 8 pm.
You can vote at any of our four locations
Yes – we will have in person voting at our Early Voting sites as well as on Election Day.
Election Day vote centers are to be determined. Please check back for those locations.
Yes – The State Board of Elections will be mailing ballot applications to all registered voters.
You can wait for it to arrive or you can apply for a ballot before then.
All registered voters as of August 6, 2020 will automatically receive an application for a mail in ballot.
If you registered on or after August 7, 2020 another mailing date will be determined.
Ballots must be created, printed and mailed so they will not be mailed until the end of September/ early October.
You can mail your ballot to our office at 133 Industry Lane, Forest Hill, MD 21050 and must be postmarked on or before Tuesday, November 3, 2020.
No postage is needed to return your ballot – you will get a postage paid return envelope with your ballot.
At a Drop Box
We will have drop boxes at all of our Early Voting sites as well as one at our office at 133 Industry Lane in Forest Hill.

Voter Registration and Address Change
Yes – register to vote online
The deadline to register to vote is Tuesday, October 13, 2020.
The deadline for all of these changes is Tuesday, October 13, 2020.
If you apply online: you must enter your Maryland driver’s license number or Motor Vehicle Administration (MVA) issued state ID number, the date MVA issued your license or ID card, and the last 4 digits of your Social Security number.
If you reside outside of the US or are a member of the military or spouse or dependent of a military member: you must enter the last 4 digits of your US social security number. If you provide a license or State ID number, your signature on file with the MVA will become your official voter registration signature. If you provide a social security number, it will be used as your official voter registration signature.
If you use the paper application to register: you must also provide your Maryland driver’s license number or MVA-issued state ID number if you have one. If you don’t have one, you must provide the last 4 digits of your Social Security number. If you don’t have either number, check box 6c. If you check box 6c, you might be required to show ID before voting for the first time.
